Swimming banned in three provinces

Citizens are not permitted to enter the sea in the Akçakoca district of Düzce, and the Kaynarca, Karasu, and Kocaali districts of Sakarya. Due to expected adverse weather conditions in Sinop, swimming will not be permitted in certain areas on Saturday, June 15.

Swimming banned in three provinces

Due to adverse weather and sea conditions, swimming is not permitted in the Akçakoca tourism district of Düzce, as well as the Kaynarca, Karasu, and Kocaali districts of Sakarya, which have coastlines on the Black Sea.

In a statement issued by the Akçakoca District Governorate, it was noted that unfavorable weather conditions are prevailing in the district.

The statement included the following: “Due to adverse weather and sea conditions, entering the sea at all beaches and coastal areas in our district is dangerous and prohibited today. We kindly request that our citizens do not enter the sea.”

In Sakarya, swimming has been banned by the district governorates in Kaynarca, Karasu, and Kocaali for today and tomorrow due to adverse weather and sea conditions.

ANOTHER BAN ANNOUNCEMENT FROM SINOP

In a written statement from the Sinop Governor's Office, it was stated that the Provincial Public Health Board convened under the chairmanship of Governor Mustafa Özarslan.

The statement noted the following:

“According to the latest assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology, it is estimated that in the northern parts of our province, extending to Türkeli, Ayancık, Sarıkum, İnceburun, Hamsilos, Akliman, Kumkapı, and Adabaşı, wave heights will be between 1.5 and 2 meters, and wind speeds will blow as a storm from the west and northwest at 50-75 kilometers per hour. Accordingly, in order to ensure and protect the life and property safety of our citizens, swimming is prohibited today on the northern coasts of our province, including the coasts of our Türkeli district, as well as Ayancık, Erfelek, Sarıkum, İnceburun, Hamsilos, Akliman, Kumkapı, and Adabaşı.”
