A technical failure occurred on the M1B Yenikapı-Kirazlı Metro Line due to a mix-up in the directions of the trains in operation.
The failure caused delays in services, and crowding was observed at metro stations.
Passengers waiting at the Esenler station were seen jumping over the tracks to cross to the opposite side to board the metro.
Announcements were made at the station stating that the delay was caused by a technical failure.

Regarding the technical failure on the M3 Bakırköy-Kayaşehir Metro Line, the following post was shared on Metro Istanbul's social media account:
"Due to a technical failure caused by a power fluctuation originating from the electricity distribution company on our M3 Bakırköy-Kayaşehir Metro Line, our services are operating between the Kayaşehir and İncirli stations."
Services returned to normal on both lines after the technical issues were resolved.
