Trust survey released: The military emerges as the most trusted institution in Turkey

Asal Research has published the changes observed according to demographic characteristics in its survey regarding citizens' trust in institutions. 

The research company listed the highlights of the study as follows: 

Young people and those with university/postgraduate education trust the Military and the Police the most. 

Among young people, the response "I do not trust any institution" is 10 points above the general average.

Trust in the Presidency is higher among women compared to men.

HIGHEST TRUST IN THE MILITARY

In the survey conducted with 2,000 participants, the Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) ranked fourth from the bottom in terms of trust with 2 percent, while the judiciary ranked third from the bottom with 1.4 percent. The Presidency took 3rd place with 11.1 percent. 

The ranking and percentages in the survey are as follows:

Military: 19.7%

Police: 16.5%

Presidency: 11.1%

TBMM (Grand National Assembly of Turkey): 10.2%

Banks: 4.2%

ÖSYM (Student Selection and Placement Center): 4.0%

YSK (Supreme Election Council): 3.5%

Municipalities: 2.9%

Diyanet (Presidency of Religious Affairs): 2.0%

Judiciary: 1.4%

Politicians: 1.0%

Media: 0.9%

I trust all of them: 4.4%

I do not trust any of them: 18.2%
