1-point gap in Kamala-Trump race

The latest poll conducted by the New York Times/Siena College showed projections regarding the current vote shares of Trump and Harris.

In the poll, which was conducted nationwide with 1,142 adults between July 22-24, the percentage of those who said they could vote for Trump in the presidential election to be held on November 5 was 48 percent, while Harris remained 1 point behind at 47 percent.

In the same poll conducted after the live televised election debate between Biden and Trump on June 27, it was observed that Biden had fallen 6 points behind Trump.

Political observers consider it a success at this stage that Harris, whom Biden nominated and endorsed after announcing his withdrawal from the race on July 19, has closed the gap to trail her rival Trump by only 1 point in less than a week.
