According to a statement by government officials, 11 people lost their lives and 20 were kidnapped in an attack carried out by armed gang members in Nigeria's Zamfara state.
Nigeria is struggling with attacks by armed gangs as well as the terrorist organizations Boko Haram and the Islamic State's West Africa Province (ISWAP) in various regions.
Most recently, 66 people lost their lives in an attack carried out in Niger state.
