21 people killed in armed attack in Nigeria!

It has been reported that 21 people lost their lives in an armed attack in Nigeria's Niger State.

According to reports in the national press, armed individuals on motorcycles arrived in the Madaka region of Niger during the night and opened fire on the surroundings.

In the attack, 21 people, including the local chief, lost their lives, and dozens were kidnapped.

At least 50 houses were set on fire during the attack, and the food supplies of the local residents were looted.

Meanwhile, Niger State Police Spokesperson Wasiu Abiodun stated that security forces have been dispatched to the region in cooperation with the police and the military due to the attacks.

Nigeria is struggling with attacks by armed gangs as well as the terrorist organizations Boko Haram and the Islamic State's West Africa Province (ISWAP) in various regions.

Although kidnapping for ransom is punishable by death in Nigeria, such incidents are frequently encountered.

Armed individuals generally target villages, schools, and travelers in the north of the country to demand ransom.
