The Israeli army bombed the Al-Fakhoora School, which houses thousands of displaced Palestinians in the Jabalia Refugee Camp in the northern Gaza Strip.

In a written statement, the Ministry of Interior in Gaza stated, "As a result of the occupation forces bombing the Al-Fakhoora School, which houses thousands of displaced persons in the west of the Jabalia Refugee Camp, a large number of Palestinians were killed and injured."

The ministry did not specify the number of dead and injured in its statement so far.

The targeting of the Al-Fakhoora School occurred as Israel intensified its attacks on civilian targets and infrastructure in the blockaded Gaza Strip.
