27 dead in fire at Bangkok entertainment venue

According to information obtained regarding the tragic incident that occurred during the night in Thailand's capital, a fire broke out at midnight at an entertainment venue located in Bangkok's Chatuchak district. Fire crews arrived at the scene quickly following a report received at approximately 00:00 local time. Upon news of the fire, people inside the venue began to be evacuated urgently.

Firefighters responding to the blaze mobilized to rescue those trapped amidst the thick smoke and flames. Authorities stated that many people were removed from the scene during the intervention and that the injured were transported to hospitals by ambulance.

Thai Deputy Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul visited the scene following the disaster and stated in a press briefing that, according to initial findings, 27 people had lost their lives in the fire. Anutin also announced that a comprehensive investigation into the cause of the fire has been launched.
