In a statement made by authorities, it was noted that the fire began on the top floor of the building and quickly engulfed the entire structure. Surrounding buildings were also evacuated during the fire due to the risk of the flames spreading.

It was stated that firefighting teams arriving at the scene brought the fire under control this morning, and that rainfall accelerated the firefighting efforts.
