The statement reported that the 5.6 magnitude earthquake was recorded at a depth of 68 kilometers.
The earthquake was also felt in the capital, Baku.
In a statement from the Azerbaijan Ministry of Emergency Situations, it was stated that there was no damage or loss of life in the earthquake.
