Ukraine continues to face the painful toll of the attacks. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated in a post on his social media account that Russia has intensified its air strikes over the last seven days. Zelenskyy said that 74 missiles, more than 1,300 guided bombs, and over 3,170 armed unmanned aerial vehicles launched at Ukrainian territory have targeted both civilians and critical infrastructure.

According to the information provided by Zelenskyy, 52 people lost their lives and 346 were injured as a result of these attacks. It was stated that 22 children were among the injured. The intense bombardment is reported to have caused major destruction in civilian settlements and infrastructure.

The Ukrainian leader emphasized that they are making intense efforts to maintain the country's defense capacity, while also expressing their expectations for more support from the international community in the face of the attacks.

ATTACK FROM UKRAINE ON THE MOSCOW REGION

In another statement, Zelenskyy touched upon the air strikes the Ukrainian army carried out against Russia tonight in retaliation. Zelenskyy said, "Ukraine's long-range strikes reached the Moscow region this time, and we are telling the Russians clearly: their state must end the war."

Pointing out that Moscow and its surroundings are protected by an intense air defense system, Zelenskyy noted that Ukrainian forces were nevertheless able to breach these borders. The Ukrainian leader also shared footage of the attack with the public.

As tensions rise in the region, the impact of the conflict on civilian casualties has been brought to the agenda once again during a week of escalating mutual attacks between Ukraine and Russia. The course of events will continue to be closely monitored in the coming period in terms of international relations and the humanitarian situation in the region.
