6.0 magnitude earthquake in Papua New Guinea
A 6.0 magnitude earthquake has struck New Britain Island in Papua New Guinea.
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) announced that the epicenter of the earthquake was approximately 65 kilometers southeast of the city of Kimbe on New Britain Island.
According to initial reports, there was no loss of life or property in the earthquake, which occurred at a depth of approximately 51 kilometers.
