According to an Israeli security official, the war in Gaza could last for another 2 years
An Israeli security official has claimed that the war Israel is waging in the Gaza Strip could continue for another 2 years.
In a report by Israel's Channel 12 television, an unnamed security official predicted that "intense fighting in Gaza to defeat Hamas could last at least 2 years."
The official in question stated that "they would likely need two years to complete this mission."
Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer had said at a conference held in Jerusalem on April 28 that they would continue the attacks on the Gaza Strip for another 12 months.
The Israeli security cabinet approved a plan on May 5 to expand the attacks on Gaza. The plan in question includes occupying more areas in Gaza and expanding "buffer zones."
