Adult film actress Stormy Daniels speaks out: 'Trump should be in a women's shelter...'

Former adult film actress Stormy Daniels, who accused former US President Donald Trump—who was found guilty on all counts in his 'hush money' trial—of paying her to keep their sexual encounter secret, has spoken out for the first time since the court ruling.

Stating that Trump is 'completely detached from reality,' Daniels said, "He should be jailed immediately."

DEATH THREATS

Saying that she has received death threats from Trump's supporters, Daniels stated that Trump should receive prison time and community service. Expressing that she was "shocked that the jury found Trump guilty so quickly," the former adult film actress said, "I think he should be sentenced to prison or perform community service as a volunteer punching bag at a women's shelter."

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO TRUMP?

Trump, who was found guilty on all 34 counts by the jury in recent days, faces his next court date on July 11, when the sentencing decision will be announced. Judge Juan Merchan could sentence Trump to between 16 months and 4 years in prison, but experts emphasize that the charges for which Trump was found guilty are classified as misdemeanors (Class E felonies) under New York law, and point to Trump's age (77) and the fact that he has no prior criminal record.

Accordingly, Trump could receive a very short prison sentence, or he could receive other penalties including fines, probation, and other conditions, or he may not go to prison at all.

Even if Trump receives a prison sentence, it is considered certain that he will appeal the decision.

In this case, since an appeals process that could last for months would begin, there would be no obstacle to Trump taking the presidential seat if he wins the election.
