Adult site to pay compensation

According to a statement from the office of Breon Peace, the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, the website's parent company, Aylo Holdings, has reached a settlement in a prosecution involving illegal financial transactions, including proceeds from sex trafficking.

The agreement requires the Montreal-based company to pay more than 1.8 million dollars to the U.S. government, as well as make separate payments to women harmed by sex trafficking.

Additionally, an independent monitor will be appointed to the company for a period of three years, after which the charges will be dropped.

In his statement, Peace said, "We hope that this resolution, which includes specific payments to women whose images were posted on the company's platforms and independent oversight, will bring some measure of relief to those negatively affected."

James Smith, head of the FBI's New York office, stated that Aylo Holdings "profited unjustly by ignoring" victims who told the company they had been deceived and coerced into the videos.

Prosecutors said that while Aylo has agreed to pay compensation to victims, details such as who is eligible and how they can apply will be announced soon.

The charges stemmed from Aylo's role in hosting the videos on its servers and accepting payments from GirlsDoPorn.

The operators of the now-defunct pornographic film production company were convicted of a series of sex trafficking crimes, including coercing young women into performing sexual acts on camera and subsequently publishing them on Pornhub and other adult sites without their consent.

Meanwhile, the European Union (EU) had decided to introduce stricter rules for "Xvideos," "Pornhub," and "Stripchat," which are among the most-watched porn sites in the world.
