Agreement between Ukraine and Japan
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that he has signed a 10-year security agreement between Ukraine and Japan.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that he has signed a 10-year security agreement between Ukraine and Japan, stating, "Japan will provide 4.5 billion dollars to Ukraine and will continue to support us throughout the 10-year duration of the agreement."
Zelenskiy also noted that the agreement provides for security and defense assistance, humanitarian aid, and technical and financial cooperation, and thanked Japan for its "unwavering solidarity" and commitment to protecting international law.
More than two years after being invaded by Russia, Ukraine has signed 15 similar agreements with allies, including the UK, France, and Germany, securing pledges of long-term support. Ukraine is also expected to sign a similar agreement with the US.
