Altun reacts to Netanyahu's statement

Altun reacted to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's statement regarding President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in a post on his social media account.

Stating that Netanyahu is the last person to speak about genocide, Altun said, "Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is the last person who can say anything about genocide. He has mastered the art of passing off the war crimes he has committed against civilians to the world as self-defense. Even if the world cannot stop him, history will judge him as a war criminal."

Emphasizing that Netanyahu is also the last person to speak about Turkey's fight against terrorism, Altun noted the following:

"Netanyahu is the last person to speak about our fight against terrorism. We have been fighting against the terrorist organization PKK and its affiliates for over 40 years. Just like Netanyahu, our Kurdish citizens have personally fought against the PKK, which indiscriminately massacres civilians and children. The last person to talk about morality is Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. He cannot lecture anyone on how to conduct counter-terrorism operations because he has no experience in this field. What he has been doing for the last 40 years is driving Palestinians from their lands. Now, he has taken this situation to a new level by using the Israeli army to kill civilians in their homes, hospitals, and refugee camps. Netanyahu cannot fool anyone by attacking our President Erdoğan to distract from his war crimes.

The world has seen what is happening in occupied Palestine. Netanyahu's desperate attempts to save his political career by killing civilians and expanding the scope of the war are doomed to failure. Our President Erdoğan has made this call, and no matter how many lies Netanyahu tells the world, he will not stop fighting for justice. We once again call on the international community to unite around our efforts to achieve an immediate ceasefire and negotiations for lasting peace. Despite political attacks and smear campaigns against Turkey, we are doing our part and will continue to do so. We will continue to tell the truth."
