Apartment explosion in Iran's Qom city: Seven people injured

In the explosion that took place in the Pardisan neighborhood of Qom, four residences sustained serious damage. The impact of the blast caused major destruction on the lower floors of the apartment building, and surrounding buildings also suffered material damage. Firefighting and search and rescue teams were quickly dispatched to the scene. The seven injured individuals were taken to local hospitals for treatment.

The Qom Fire Department Chief stated, "Damage occurred in four apartments. According to our initial findings, the cause of the explosion appears to be a gas leak. However, investigations into the incident are ongoing." It was noted that those injured and those present in the building at the time of the incident were ordinary citizens.

An unnamed official speaking to the semi-official Fars News Agency denied claims that the explosion was caused by Israel, stating that no signs of sabotage had been detected.

Following the air operations that took place last month and lasted for 12 days between Iran and Israel, several similar explosions had occurred in the country. However, authorities emphasized that there is no direct link to Israel in this latest incident.

After the explosion, an anonymous source stated, "The public should not give credence to rumors of an Israeli attack. If a hostile act were to occur, this news would reach the public immediately, and sirens would sound simultaneously in the Occupied Territories."

While the investigation into the incident continues, security measures have been increased in the area, and technical checks are being carried out in the buildings against further gas leaks.
