Armenia opens fire on Azerbaijani positions in Nakhchivan for the second time

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense announced that units belonging to the Armenian army opened fire on Azerbaijan's positions in Nakhchivan for the second time today.

Armenia opens fire on Azerbaijani positions in Nakhchivan for the second time

Armenia continues its provocations in the region. In a statement released by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense, it was reported that at approximately 18:30 local time, units of the Armenian Armed Forces opened fire from their positions in the Sultabey settlement of the Pashali district toward positions of the Azerbaijani army in the Shada settlement of the Shahbuz district of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

The Ministry announced that there were no casualties in the incident and that retaliatory fire was opened against Armenia.

Armenian units had previously opened fire at approximately 06:45 local time on positions of the Azerbaijani army in the Heydarabad settlement of the Sadarak district of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

The Ministry of Defense noted that this month, including the latest attack, Armenia has committed 6 ceasefire violations.
