As tensions rise in the Middle East, Iran unveils new weapons: A message of 'unity' against Israel

A large-scale military parade was held in Tehran to mark the 44th anniversary of the Iran-Iraq War. In addition to President Masoud Pezeshkian, high-ranking military officials were present at the ceremony held in front of the Imam Khomeini Shrine. During the parade, 23 ballistic missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles, and armored vehicles were displayed alongside two of Iran's new weapons.

At the ceremony, the 'Jihad' liquid-fueled ballistic missile with a range of one thousand kilometers, belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, was presented to the public for the first time. Additionally, the 'Shahed 136B' kamikaze unmanned aerial vehicle was among the notable elements of the parade.

Addressing Islamic countries, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated, 'If we join hands and unite, the Israeli regime cannot continue its crimes any longer.'

PEZESHKIAN'S MESSAGE OF 'DETERRENCE'

Referring to the new weapons, the Iranian President sent a message that 'thanks to their deterrent power, no one will dare to attack their country.'

Speaking at the ceremony, Pezeshkian expressed the following:

'Thanks to Iran's deterrent power, no one will dare to attack these lands. The gains our armed forces have achieved in military terms are a result of this. During the Sacred Defense era (Iran-Iraq War), our Revolutionary Guard Corps and our armed forces, in solidarity with air, naval, and ground units, did not allow our country to be occupied by the enemy. Today, thanks to our armed forces, our scientists, and our intellectuals, we have reached the power not to procure our weapons needs from foreign countries.'

'WE CAN ENSURE PEACE AND SECURITY IN THE REGION'

Pointing to Israel's attacks on Palestine and Lebanon, Pezeshkian also stated that they would work for peace and security in the Middle East. The Iranian leader also sent a message to Israel, stating that they 'will no longer tolerate aggression.'

Pezeshkian said in his speech:

'We can ensure peace and security in the region not only for our own country but also in cooperation with Islamic countries. With this cooperation to be established with Islamic countries, we can prevent the crimes of the occupying Israeli regime that massacres civilians, women, and children. If we join hands and unite, the Israeli regime cannot continue its crimes any longer.'
