The new academic year is beginning this Monday in various countries around the world, just as it is in Turkey. Under normal circumstances, schools in Gaza were also supposed to open today (September 9). However, as a result of Israel's ongoing attacks on Gaza and the lack of any results from peace negotiations so far, 625,000 students living in Gaza are unable to return to their schools to begin the new academic year.

According to Al Jazeera, at least 9,839 children and 411 teachers have lost their lives during the war so far. The bombing of all regions in Gaza has destroyed a significant portion of residential areas. In addition to the destroyed residential areas, a large number of school buildings have been leveled in areas where the bombing continues. Education authorities in Gaza had previously announced that 85% of all school buildings in Gaza have been destroyed.

In refugee camps, no planned educational activities can be initiated due to the absence of any educational institutions, organizations, or authorities.

On the other hand, reports in Egyptian media shared information that teachers in refugee camps are attempting to continue educational activities through their own individual efforts.
