Average of 14 polls released in US election: Trump or Harris?

As the countdown continues for the 60th presidential election to be held in the US on November 5, current polls reveal the fierce competition between Trump and Harris.

According to the average of 14 recent polls featured on the news platform Real Clear Politics (RCP), which compiles national and state-level polls during the presidential election process, Trump appears to have 48.4 percent support.

Democratic candidate Harris, on the other hand, is trailing her rival by a very small margin with 48.1 percent support.

While it is noteworthy that Harris, who was slightly ahead in national polls until mid-October, has fallen slightly behind Trump in the last two weeks, experts emphasize that the two candidates are in a neck-and-neck race.

TRUMP ALSO SLIGHTLY AHEAD IN SWING STATES

On the other hand, it is noted that Trump is slightly ahead in 5 of the 7 swing states that will determine the fate of the presidential election results, while Harris is leading the race by small margins in Michigan and Wisconsin.

According to these polls, Trump is ahead of his rival by 2.3 points in Arizona, 0.9 in Nevada, 2.6 in Georgia, 1.5 in North Carolina, and 0.5 in Pennsylvania.

Conversely, Harris is leading the race by 0.8 points in Michigan and 0.3 points in Wisconsin.

The close margins in the 7 swing states, where all eyes will be turned in the election where the candidate who wins at least 270 of the 538 delegates will become the new US president, show that the fate of the election results could depend on very small margins.

The person who wins the presidential election to be held on November 5 will take the presidential seat with the inauguration ceremony to be held on January 20, 2025.
