Biden announced: Israel will halt attacks

According to NBC, Biden, who appeared on the channel's "Late Night With Seth Meyers" program, answered questions regarding the current agenda.

Responding to a question about a ceasefire in Gaza, Biden said, "There is a path forward, but it is a difficult one."

Regarding the situation of the hostages, Biden said, "First of all, the hostages held must be released," and added that they have reached an agreement with the Israeli side to "halt their actions during the month of Ramadan" in order to secure the release of all hostages.

"I AM A ZIONIST"

Pointing out that Israel must seize the opportunity to achieve peace for themselves and the Palestinians, Biden stated, "You don't have to be a Jew to be a Zionist. I am a Zionist; if there were no Israel, not a single Jew in the world would be safe."

Stating that if a temporary ceasefire is achieved, they could move in a different direction, Biden noted that in such a scenario, a two-state solution that guarantees Israel's security and Palestinian independence could be reached.

During his visit to New York, US President Biden had responded to a question from reporters about when a ceasefire in Gaza would be achieved by saying, "I hope by the end of the weekend. My national security advisor tells me we're close, but we're not done yet. My hope is that by next Monday, there will be a ceasefire (in Gaza)."
