Biden discusses Ukraine agenda with Polish President Duda

US President Biden evaluated both bilateral relations and the Ukraine war agenda with Polish President Duda, whom he hosted at the White House.

Making a brief statement to the press before the meeting, which was also attended by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Biden emphasized that it is essential to send more aid to Ukraine and called on the Republican-majority House of Representatives to "pass the Ukraine package."

Reminding that he approved an additional 300 million dollar emergency military aid package for Ukraine today, Biden commented, "This is, of course, not enough. Congress must pass the National Security Bill (which also includes support for Ukraine) before it is too late."

"RUSSIA WILL NOT STOP IN UKRAINE"

Arguing that Russian President Vladimir Putin has no intention of stopping in Ukraine, Biden said, "Poland remembers this; Russia will not stop in Ukraine, Putin will continue."

Reiterating his call for NATO member countries to increase the share of defense spending within their own budgets, Biden stated that Poland is in a very good position in this regard.

Polish President Duda, for his part, pointed to the importance of acting together against Russia in the war in Ukraine and emphasized that they act jointly with the US on many defense issues.

Duda expressed that bilateral relations between the US and Poland have also been deepening recently and that they are pleased with this.

Polish Prime Minister Tusk also noted that they should not forget why NATO was founded and that it is important for them to act together against Russia.
