Biden makes statement on 'Rafah Border Crossing'
US President Joe Biden made statements regarding the humanitarian aid that will travel from the Rafah Border Crossing to Gaza.
As the 14th day of the Israel-Hamas conflict comes to an end, the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip is growing by the day.
MADE STATEMENTS FROM THE WHITE HOUSE
Israel's cutting off of fuel, electricity, and water to the Gaza Strip, followed by its obstruction of humanitarian aid intended for the region, is making the situation even more difficult for Palestinians. While the opening of the Rafah Border Crossing in Egypt is awaited for the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, US President Joe Biden made statements ahead of his meeting at the White House with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President Charles Michel.
''I BELIEVE 20 TRUCKS WILL PASS''
Biden said, "I have received commitments from Israeli officials and the President of Egypt that the crossing will be open." Noting that the road to the border is in poor condition and needs to be paved, Biden stated, "I believe that 20 trucks will pass through the Rafah Border Crossing within the next 24 to 48 hours."
