Biden meets with Zelensky: Russia will not prevail in this war
In his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, U.S. President Joe Biden emphasized their determination to continue supporting Kyiv, stating, "We will stand with Ukraine today and tomorrow. Russia will not prevail in this war; Ukraine will prevail."

In brief statements to the press before their meeting in the Oval Office, the two leaders emphasized the continuation of cooperation between the U.S. and Ukraine.
Biden praised the new 7.9 billion dollar defense aid package for Ukraine that he announced today, stating that such aid would continue.
"We will stand with Ukraine today and tomorrow. Russia will not prevail in this war; Ukraine will prevail. We will be with you every step of the way," said Biden, noting that he would continue to provide strong support to Kyiv during the final period of his presidency.
Taking the floor afterward, Zelensky expressed his deep gratitude for the recently announced 7.9 billion dollar military support, stating that this aid would be crucial in defending his country against Russia.
Zelensky said, "We are deeply grateful that the U.S. has stood side-by-side with Ukraine since the very first day of this horrific Russian invasion."
Noting that Ukraine has received significant support from both the U.S. and G7 countries regarding the reconstruction process and that they value the steps to be taken in this regard, Zelensky stated that they must win the war and that they will win.
U.S. President Biden had issued a written statement announcing a new 7.9 billion dollar military aid package for Ukraine, emphasizing that they would continue to help Kyiv win the war.
According to Biden's statement, before the 2024 fiscal year ends in the U.S. on Monday, the remaining 5.5 billion dollars from the budget previously approved by Congress for Ukraine will be sent to Ukraine immediately.
In addition to this, the U.S. administration will procure weapons worth 2.4 billion dollars to be sent to Ukraine and will deliver these weapons to Kyiv.
