Biden's much-discussed 'Netanyahu' remark! 'No longer to Israel...'
US President Joe Biden stated that Rafah is a "red line" for him and said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is "hurting Israel more than helping it."
US President Joe Biden gave an interview to a program broadcast on MSNBC and evaluated the main topics on the agenda.
Biden stated that the responsibility for Netanyahu's attacks in Gaza and the more than 30 thousand civilians killed in these attacks is heavy, expressing that so many people "cannot be killed just by going after Hamas."
In response to the question, "What is your red line when it comes to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu? Do you have a red line? For example, could an invasion of Rafah be a red line?" Biden replied, "It is a red line, but I will never leave Israel, the defense of Israel is still critically important."
Noting that Netanyahu is "hurting Israel more than helping it," Biden emphasized that the death toll in Gaza is too high and that the Netanyahu government must focus seriously on "how not to target civilian lives."
