Bloody attack in Nigeria
10 people lost their lives in an armed attack on moving vehicles in Nigeria's Zamfara state.
According to reports in the national press, unidentified gunmen launched an attack on several vehicles traveling on the Magami-Gusau highway in Zamfara state.
10 people lost their lives in the attack, and many others were injured. The attackers kidnapped some individuals from the vehicles and set 3 cars on fire.
Zamfara state has been facing attacks by armed gangs for 5 years. Although the penalty for kidnapping is death in the country, incidents of kidnapping for ransom are frequently encountered.
