Bomb scare in Paris ahead of Israel match
Police in Paris were on high alert near the stadium where Israel is set to play an Olympic match following reports of a suspicious bag. Surrounding streets were placed under a wide security cordon, and police completely closed the road to traffic. In the match scheduled for 9:00 PM, Israel will face Mali at the Parc des Princes stadium.
According to a report by the German newspaper Bild, a suspected explosive was detected south of the Parc des Princes football stadium.
The first match of the Olympic Games, a football tournament preliminary round game between Spain and Uzbekistan, is set to be played at 3:00 PM at the arena where the prominent French club Paris St. Germain plays its matches.
In the second match at 9:00 PM, Israel will face Mali at the same stadium.

Following the discovery of the suspicious bag, the surrounding streets were placed under a wide security cordon, and police completely closed the road to traffic.
It is reported that even local residents are currently not being allowed to enter their homes. The surrounding streets, including Olympic bus routes, have been closed to all passage.
Security measures had already been raised to the highest level due to Israel's participation and the associated threat level. Authorities are on high alert following the latest report.
