In Brussels, the capital of Belgium, the public transport company (STIB) has gifted a lifetime free subscription to a baby who was born at a station after labor began during a metro journey.
In a statement on STIB's social media account, it was reported that a mother gave birth at the Beekant metro station in the Molenbeek district of Brussels on September 15.
The statement noted that the labor began during the metro journey and that the baby was born in good health with the assistance of STIB staff.
Stating that this was the first time such an event had occurred, the announcement read, "A moment we will never forget, and as a birth gift, STIB's new little star will receive a free lifetime subscription."
