Breaking News: After power outage, mobile networks collapse in Spain
Following the widespread power outages that occurred in Spain four weeks ago, all mobile networks across the country have now gone offline.
Spain is facing a new crisis as the national mobile communication infrastructure has collapsed, following the large-scale power outage that affected the country four weeks ago.
It has been announced that all leading operators in the country, including Movistar, Orange, Vodafone, Digimobil, and O2, have been affected by this disruption.
Initial data regarding the outage was shared via Downdetector. According to the platform, connection problems began around 05:00 in the morning.
According to reports in the Spanish press, networks affiliated with Telefónica, in particular, were severely affected by the outage. Sources from within the company speaking to El Correo stated that a "network upgrade" affecting "certain services" was being carried out nationwide.
