Breaking News: Ceasefire talks have begun, first statement from Trump
As negotiations between the US and Iran began in Islamabad, US President Donald Trump made a new statement at the same time, stating that the world's largest oil tankers are moving toward the US to load.
On the 40th day of the war between the US and Iran, which began on February 28, the parties signed a 2-week ceasefire agreement.
Ceasefire talks have begun in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan.
Shortly after the meeting began, US President Donald Trump made a remarkable statement.
Here is Trump's statement:
“The world's largest, massive number of completely empty oil tankers are currently on their way to the United States to load the world's best and "sweetest" oil (and gas!).
We have more and higher quality oil than the combined total of the other two largest oil economies.
We are waiting for you.”
