According to Reuters, a two-stage agreement plan aimed at ending the conflict between Iran and the US is on the agenda. If the plan is accepted, a ceasefire will be declared first, followed by a transition to a comprehensive agreement in a short time.
As the US-backed Israel-Iran conflict continues on its 38th day, a striking claim has been made regarding the Strait of Hormuz.
According to Reuters, a two-stage agreement plan has been prepared to end the tension between Iran and the US. The draft in question envisions establishing a ceasefire in the first stage and reaching a final consensus between the parties in the second stage.
The report stated that during the process of creating the plan, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of Pakistan held separate contacts with the US Vice President and the Iranian Foreign Minister.
It was stated that the draft text includes topics such as Iran abandoning its nuclear weapons program in exchange for the lifting of international sanctions and the release of frozen assets.
IF THE PLAN IS ACCEPTED, HORMUZ WILL BE OPENED
It was reported that the plan is expected to be accepted by the parties today, and if a consensus is reached, a ceasefire will be declared immediately and the Strait of Hormuz will be reopened to maritime traffic. It was noted that the final agreement is aimed to be completed within two weeks.
