Russian President Vladimir Putin has broken his silence following the attack by ISIS that turned Moscow into a bloodbath.

Declaring a national day of mourning for March 24, Putin stated that according to initial investigations, the attackers were attempting to flee to Ukraine and that there were people waiting for them on the Ukrainian side, adding, "Whoever gave the order will be punished."

Noting that all the attackers have been captured, Putin said, "They killed our people and our children just like the Nazis. We will find all those responsible and make them pay the price. The enemy will not be able to divide us," and extended his condolences to the families of the victims.

Stating that "Russia has faced many difficulties to this day but has emerged stronger from all of them," Putin emphasized that security measures have been increased across the country.

UKRAINE DENIED THE ACCUSATIONS

The Russian intelligence agency FSB had reported that the terrorists, who were captured while trying to flee near the Ukrainian border, had links to Ukraine. Kyiv, however, denied the accusations.

115 PEOPLE HAD LOST THEIR LIVES

The Russian Investigative Committee had reported that 115 people lost their lives in the terrorist attack carried out by ISIS and that this number could rise further.
