It was reported that individuals including Iranian Chief of General Staff Abdolrahim Mousavi, Minister of Defense Aziz Nasirzadeh, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani, and Revolutionary Guard Corps Ground Force Commander Mohammad Pakpour were among those killed. It is also alleged that former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad lost his life during the attacks.

In the attacks, Iran's military command centers, defense infrastructure, and strategic points were targeted. The Iranian administration stated that the military targets behind the attack were intended to create a serious impact. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps argued that US military assets in the region are "legitimate targets." It was stated that the attacks did not only target the US aircraft carrier, and that new missile and drone attacks against Israel were also possible. Tehran emphasized its determination to provide a strong response to the US and Israel with these attacks.

US: LINCOLN WAS NOT HIT

A statement came from CENTCOM. The statement said, "The Lincoln was not hit. The missiles launched did not even come close to it. The Lincoln continues to launch aircraft in support of CENTCOM’s relentless operations to defend the American people and neutralize threats from the Iranian regime."
