US President Donald Trump has made a new statement regarding the ongoing ceasefire process with Iran. Evaluating the future of the ceasefire, which was declared between the two countries but has become controversial due to developments in Lebanon and Israel's attacks in the region, Trump stated that the US military will maintain its presence in the area.

US MILITARY PRESENCE IN THE REGION WILL CONTINUE

In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump stated that US military assets will remain in the region until the agreement is fully implemented. He included the following remarks in his statement:

"All US ships, aircraft, and military personnel, along with additional ammunition, weapons, and all other necessary materials suitable for the lethal pursuit and destruction of an already largely weakened enemy, will remain in and around Iran until the REAL AGREEMENT reached is fully fulfilled."

WARNING OF A HARSH RESPONSE IF THE AGREEMENT IS VIOLATED

Trump also issued a striking warning regarding the possibility of the ceasefire being broken. He suggested that in such a case, a much larger-scale military operation would be launched:

"If for any reason this agreement is not fulfilled, which is a very low probability, then the attacks will begin, and they will be bigger, better, and stronger than anything anyone has ever seen before."

EMPHASIS ON NUCLEAR WEAPONS AND HORMUZ

The US President also emphasized that it is unacceptable for Iran to possess nuclear weapons and touched upon the security of the Strait of Hormuz. Arguing that the strait will remain open and secure, Trump used the following expressions in his statement:

"A long time ago, despite all the fake rhetoric claiming otherwise, there will be NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS and the Strait of Hormuz will be OPEN and SECURE. An agreement was reached on this. Meanwhile, our magnificent military is arming and resting, and even looking forward to its next conquest. AMERICA IS BACK!"
