When security camera footage at the Nomura Plating Fukuyama Factory was reviewed, the cat was seen running away, leaving paw prints behind. Authorities warned the public to stay away from the cat and asked anyone who sees it to notify the police.

It is believed that the cat fell into the hexavalent chromium, which is highly acidic and carcinogenic.

According to the Asahi website, which broadcasts in Japan, the factory worker found the paw prints on Monday, March 12. The Fukuyama city environmental affairs team warned the public not to touch a cat that looks different than normal if they see one.
