Ceasefire decision in Syria: Defense Minister announces
Syrian Defense Minister Murhaf Abu Kasra announced that the Syrian government and the terrorist organization SDF have reached an agreement on a ceasefire across all fronts in the north and northeast of the country. It was reported that the ceasefire decision has gone into effect immediately.
It has been announced that a comprehensive ceasefire agreement was reached as a result of the talks held between Syrian Defense Minister Murhaf Abu Kasra and SDF ringleader Mazlum Abdi.
Minister Abu Kasra announced that the ceasefire will be valid on all fronts and that the decision has begun to be implemented immediately.
AGREEMENT WENT INTO EFFECT IMMEDIATELY
Defense Minister Abu Kasra stated that the agreement "went into effect immediately" and that the clashes in northern and northeastern Syria would be halted.
SDF sources also made similar statements, confirming that an agreement had been reached to de-escalate tensions between the parties.
MARCH AGREEMENT ON THE AGENDA
Recent clashes had jeopardized the agreement signed in March, which envisioned the integration of the regional elements of the terrorist organization SDF into state institutions. The new ceasefire decision is expected to ensure that this agreement regains functionality.
