Ceasefire not enough: Sounds of explosions in Gaza

Despite the ceasefire that went into effect on October 10 with the mediation of the US, Turkey, Egypt, and Qatar, clashes have resumed in Gaza. The Israeli military conducted airstrikes on the Shuja'iyya neighborhood in northern Gaza and the Khan Yunis area in the south.

At least 6 people lost their lives in these attacks. Hamas accused Israel of violating the ceasefire.

A Palestinian was killed in a drone strike on the town of al-Fukhari, south of Khan Yunis. The Israeli military stated that they opened fire on suspects who crossed the yellow line in northern Gaza. Hamas, meanwhile, stated that these attacks were a clear violation of the ceasefire.

The sounds of explosions coming from the east of Gaza were caused by clashes that erupted during Hamas raids targeting Israeli collaborators. Footage of public executions carried out during these raids circulated on social media. Hamas officials argued that these individuals were wanted persons who refused to surrender.

Hamas has redeployed its fighters to the streets of Gaza following the ceasefire. However, it remains cautious against the possibility of the ceasefire collapsing. 6 members of Hamas lost their lives in the clashes.

US President Donald Trump, in a statement made before departing for the Middle East, implied that Hamas had been tasked with temporarily maintaining security order. Trump said, "They really want the problems to stop, and they are being open-minded about it."

GAZA PLAN AND PEACE SUMMIT

The plan announced by Trump last month, which was agreed upon between Hamas and Israel, envisions the transfer of administration in Gaza and the demilitarization of the region. The plan also includes the establishment of an international mission to train and support Palestinian security forces.

The Peace Summit, held under the chairmanship of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and Trump, took place on October 13 in the Egyptian city of Sharm El Sheikh. At the summit, the plan to end the war in Gaza was welcomed. The ceasefire agreement went into effect following the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.
