Charlie Kirk murder suspect Tyler Robinson refuses to confess

In the U.S. state of Utah, the status of Tyler Robinson regarding the murder of Republican activist Charlie Kirk has been announced to the public by Utah Governor Spencer Cox.
In an interview with ABC News, Governor Cox stated that the 22-year-old murder suspect, Robinson, is not cooperating with authorities. Cox noted that Robinson has chosen to remain silent and has not made any confessions regarding the charges, but pointed out that people in his circle are cooperating with officials.
FORMAL CHARGES TO BE FILED AGAINST SUSPECT
Governor Cox stated that formal charges against Robinson will be filed on Tuesday, noting that individuals around the suspect, particularly his transgender roommate, are cooperating with authorities. Emphasizing that this cooperation is very important, Cox provided details regarding the suspect's attitude.
Republican activist and social media personality Charlie Kirk lost his life in an armed attack while attending an event at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025. Kirk was quite popular among young people and had founded a non-profit organization called “Turning Point USA” to spread his conservative ideas.
Kirk was known especially for his strong support for U.S. President Donald Trump and his pro-Israel stance. Following Kirk's death, Trump described the activist as a "great and even legendary" figure, saying, "Charlie, we love you."
Following the attack, Tyler Robinson was taken into custody as a murder suspect after being reported by his family. Robinson was arrested on charges of aggravated murder and other crimes in two states.
