CHP reacts to US attack on Venezuela
Following the attack launched by the US on Venezuela, the Republican People's Party (CHP) issued a statement noting that the public is once again paying the price for power struggles.
Explosions that occurred in the morning in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, caused panic across the country. The Venezuelan government went on high alert following reports of explosion sounds from various regions.
President Nicolas Maduro declared a state of emergency and mobilization following the developments. Venezuelan officials stated that the attack was carried out by the US.
While this event resonated with the global public, the Republican People's Party (CHP) in Turkey also provided an assessment. CHP Deputy Chairman Burhanettin Bulut pointed out in a statement on his social media account that the attack primarily affected civilians.
CHP's Bulut stated, 'The US attack on Venezuela, which the Trump administration has long targeted, has once again revealed how ugly and brutal a tool war is. It is the people who are crushed between the geopolitical calculations, embargoes, and weapons of major powers. Innocent people who have committed no crime have been left in the middle of destroyed buildings and bombs.'
