According to claims in the Israeli press, the decision regarding where the released detainees will be sent was made in coordination with Israel. If the claims are true, Turkey will grant asylum to 15 of the individuals to be released under the agreement.

Hamas had previously requested that 75 Palestinians convicted of various acts not be released to Gaza and the West Bank. Egypt had granted temporary asylum to 70 prisoners released last week.

According to a report by The Times of Israel, Turkey has agreed to grant asylum to 15 of these asylum seekers. Additionally, Qatar is expected to accept the remaining former prisoners.

However, the report noted that the negotiations have not yet been finalized. The newspaper emphasized that talks are ongoing and reported that it may be requested that some of the detainees to be released later under the agreement be accepted by another country.

Two unnamed sources stated that it is planned for the Palestinian prisoners deported to Egypt to be hosted in Qatar and Turkey.

The sources noted that the decision regarding where the Palestinian prisoners will be sent was made in coordination with Israel.

Many high-ranking Hamas officials currently reside in Qatar. Israeli officials frequently travel to Qatar for hostage negotiations. Turkey, meanwhile, has previously hosted high-ranking Hamas officials.
