Claims emerge that fighter jets took off from British bases in the Republic of Cyprus
It has been alleged that some Royal Air Force (RAF) fighter and tanker aircraft took off from British sovereign base areas in the Republic of Cyprus (ROC) following the Iran-Israel tensions.
According to information obtained from local sources, RAF fighter and tanker aircraft took off from the Akrotiri Air Base, which holds "sovereign base" status near the city of Limassol in the Republic of Cyprus.
Local sources also claimed that aircraft noise was heard from Dhekelia, a British base located near the city of Larnaca in the Republic of Cyprus.
No statement has yet been made by the base command regarding the matter.
