Claims that Elon Musk may step down from his post

It has been claimed that Elon Musk, who heads the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) under the U.S. President Donald Trump administration, will step down from his post.

In reports citing unnamed sources in the U.S. press, it was alleged that Trump informed cabinet members and his other close associates that Musk would be leaving his post and that they had reached a mutual agreement.

Musk was leading efforts to reduce federal spending and restructure various government agencies. It was claimed that Musk, who took on critical roles in accelerating private sector integration, particularly in defense and space projects, made this decision to focus on the intense work schedule at his companies. The White House and Musk have not yet made an official statement regarding the allegations.

"HE HAS A BIG COMPANY TO RUN"

In his response to a question about the duration of Musk's tenure and the future of DOGE, Trump said of Musk, "I think he's a great guy, but I also think he has a big company to run. So at some point, he'll go back to his business."

Despite this, Trump had emphasized that he would keep Musk in the position as long as possible. When asked whether DOGE would continue its activities, Trump said, "I can't tell you that. What I can tell you is that most of the people working with DOGE are secretaries, meaning heads of various agencies, and they have learned a lot. I think at a certain point this will end, but they have also received a great education and are doing a really good job."
