Claims that the ground operation into Gaza has been postponed
It has been claimed that Israel has postponed its planned ground operation into the Gaza Strip at the request of the US.
As the conflict between Israel and Palestine continues on its 19th day, it has been claimed that Israel has postponed its ground operation into the Gaza Strip at the request of the US.
CLAIMS THAT THE OPERATION HAS BEEN POSTPONED
The Wall Street Journal, citing US and Israeli officials, reported that Israel has for now postponed the ground operation it planned to launch into the Gaza Strip at the request of the US, stating that Israel took into account diplomatic efforts to release hostages as well as humanitarian aid efforts for civilians in the Gaza Strip when deciding to delay the operation.
The report, which noted that threats against US troops are a major source of concern, stated that it is believed that the ground operation Israel will launch into the Gaza Strip would lead to US troops being targeted.
The report stated that the US is working to deploy approximately 11 air defense systems to the region and that the request to postpone the ground operation was made for this reason. The air defense systems in question are expected to be deployed to Iraq, Kuwait, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
