Zelensky's former advisor Aleksey Arestovich stated in a video message that peace in Ukraine would only be possible with the resignation of President Volodymyr Zelensky. Arestovich claimed that the US and Russia have reached an agreement on Zelensky's resignation, alleging that a new prime minister and parliamentary speaker would be elected after the Ukrainian leader leaves office.
Emphasizing that a transitional government would be formed in the process starting with Zelensky's resignation, the former advisor Arestovich provided information on how the process would function. Arestovich stated that the interim authority would be responsible for establishing a ceasefire, organizing the demobilization of the army, and lifting martial law to prepare the country for elections.
Arestovich made the following remarks in a post on his Telegram account:
''The post-war period will be without Zelensky. Zelensky knows this. The reason this situation angers him is that he will be forced to leave office. That is why he does not agree with this plan. That is why Kellogg leaves without holding a press conference (Trump's special envoy to Ukraine, Keith Kellogg). This means that other methods will be used to make him realize that it is time to resign.''
According to a report by EurAsia Daily, the former advisor emphasized that a voluntary resignation is the best exit strategy for Zelensky. Arestovich noted that if Zelensky resists resigning, the process will take a different shape.
The report stated that anti-Ukrainian sentiment is growing within the circle of US President Donald Trump. It was expressed that some figures on Trump's team believe that Zelensky should leave Ukraine immediately.

WAR OF WORDS BETWEEN TRUMP AND ZELENSKY
Following the Ukraine summit held by Russia and the US in Saudi Arabia, Trump and Zelensky made insulting statements against each other. While Trump accused Zelensky of 'dictatorship,' Zelensky stated that Trump is under the influence of Russia. Trump noted that if Zelensky does not act quickly, he will not have a country left.
The US President accused the Ukrainian leader of dragging the US into an 'unwinnable war' and stated the following:
'Zelensky, as a moderately successful comedian, convinced the US to spend 350 billion dollars.'
Responding to Trump's statements at a press conference in Kyiv, Zelensky claimed that the US President has allowed himself to be caught up in disinformation originating from Russia.
Emphasizing that the majority of Ukrainians trust him and that attempts at change while the war is ongoing would fail, Zelensky added the following statement:
'Unfortunately, as the leader of a nation we greatly respect, President Trump has become trapped inside this bubble of disinformation.'
