Clashes in Mexico force football match to be abandoned! The World Cup will be played in the country in 4 months...

The Mexican Army, in a comprehensive operation carried out in the Talpalpa region of the southwestern state of Jalisco, neutralized Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, also known as El Mencho, the leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).

Following the death of El Mencho, who had a 15 million dollar bounty placed on his head by the United States, a serious security crisis erupted across Mexico. After the operation, groups linked to the cartel began large-scale retaliatory actions. Roads were blocked with barricades at more than 250 locations in 20 of the country's 31 states, while cartel members set fire to numerous cars and passenger buses.

As tensions in the country continue, events during the women's football match between Necaxa and Querétaro became a trending topic on social media.

Clashes broke out between police and cartels in the vicinity of Victoria Stadium, where the match was being played. Consequently, the referee stopped the match. Players were seen quickly leaving the pitch.

WORLD CUP TO BE HELD IN 4 MONTHS
