US President Donald Trump and British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer announced at a joint press conference held within the scope of the G7 summit that they had signed a comprehensive trade agreement in the fields of automotive, aviation, steel, and cybersecurity. Stating, "This is a show of strength not only economically but also geopolitically," Trump noted that the agreement would provide thousands of new jobs and billions of dollars in revenue for both countries. Starmer said, "This is not just trade; it also means a special partnership in the fields of security and technology."

In the later minutes of the press conference, focusing on the Iran issue, Trump used striking expressions regarding Iran's nuclear program and the rising tension with Israel. Trump said, "I gave Iran 60 days. They rejected this period. Either there will be a deal, or something will happen. If this opportunity is missed, they will face the consequences." Hardening his message by saying, "If Iran does not sign the deal, this would be stupid for them," Trump stated that the US is prepared if Iran prefers escalation instead of a diplomatic solution.

Trump stated that he is in direct contact with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Using the expressions, "Israel is doing very well. They know what they need to do. We are in constant contact," Trump argued that Iran's actions in the region can no longer be ignored. Trump also stated that the 'existential threat' rhetoric Iran uses to legitimize its attacks on Israel has lost its validity, saying, "This rhetoric is invalid in terms of international law. Israel has the right to defend itself."

"WE DO NOT WANT NUCLEAR WEAPONS"

The US President reiterated his firm stance regarding Iran's nuclear activities. He used the expressions, "We do not want nuclear weapons in Iran. We will do everything to prevent this. We are currently on a path that will prevent this from happening." Trump expressed that they are open to negotiations but that if Iran does not show good faith, it "might be too late."

Trump, who did not directly respond to the claim made by Iran's UN Representative Amir Saeid Iravani in a statement recently that Israel sabotaged the nuclear negotiations in Muscat, accused Iran of undermining the process by saying, "I want to make a deal with Iran, but they are sabotaging diplomacy."

Trump gave a striking answer to a question about sanctions against Russia: "Europe constantly wants more sanctions but does not implement them themselves.
