Comprehensive military display by Iran in the Strait of Hormuz
In a military exercise conducted in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf, Iran successfully neutralized designated targets using unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as land and naval assets.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy staged a show of force during a large-scale military exercise in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf. In the exercise, which involved naval and land units in stages, military capabilities were tested by striking fixed and moving targets with the support of unmanned aerial vehicles.
Since the exercise began yesterday, units directed from various parts of the country, along with Iranian naval warships, have carried out operations aimed at increasing the security and defense capacity of the Strait. Throughout the military operation, pre-determined targets were successfully destroyed using weapons fired from both land and sea.
TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS ON TRAFFIC
At the same time, temporary restrictions were placed on ship traffic in the Strait of Hormuz during the peak hours of the exercise. Special attention was paid to ensuring the safety of commercial and civilian vessels navigating the region through warning announcements and briefings issued to mariners.
Military sources, noting the recent increase in military activity in the region, stated that this exercise was launched in response to the U.S. strengthening its naval assets in the Persian Gulf. The Iranian administration has raised its readiness level to the maximum against security threats in and around the Strait, particularly due to the Washington administration's rhetoric toward Tehran and the expansion of its military presence.
MESSAGE FROM IRAN: WE ARE PREPARED FOR CRISIS
It was announced that the Revolutionary Guard Corps focused on the ability to provide a rapid and comprehensive response to potential attacks from the sea as part of the exercise. Iranian military officials emphasized that such operations both provide deterrence and demonstrate their readiness for potential crises.
The Strait of Hormuz, where a large portion of global energy transfer takes place, draws attention due to its geopolitical importance. The Tehran administration has previously stated on several occasions that they could close this critical strait in the event of a possible conflict with the U.S. This latest exercise in the region is also significant in terms of demonstrating Iran's strategic resolve.
