Cooperation between Israel and Germany
Israel and Germany have signed a comprehensive agreement increasing cooperation in the fields of cyber defense and advanced technology. The parties announced that security and technological solidarity between the two countries has entered a new phase.
A cyber defense cooperation protocol was signed between the two countries following a meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt. The joint statement declared that the coordination between Israel and Germany in the fields of security and technology has been elevated to a strategic level.
The statement indicated that the protocol shapes a broad partnership between the security institutions of both countries, ranging from cybersecurity to advanced technologies. It was noted that the agreement also points to Germany's historical obligations and emphasizes upholding the memory of the Holocaust within this framework.
Expressing that relations between Germany and Israel will be further strengthened with the implementation of the agreement, Netanyahu said, "The signed declaration secures the deep cooperation between the two countries and transforms our security commitment into joint action."
Israel and Germany had previously reached an agreement on Arrow air defense systems. Following this latest agreement, it is observed that the scope of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of technology and security has further expanded.
